Eco-Kids


A 3-day mini-camp for children ages 4-5 years old in which they learn about a variety of topics through crafts, hikes, stories, snacks and other activities.
Fee: $25/child/program

Preregistration is required. To check for space availability, you may call the Blue Jay Center for Environmental Education at 919-870-4330. To register, you will need to submit a completed registration form and payment by mail or in person.

Water Wonders
September 14, 16 & 18, 1-3 p.m.
Enjoy lots of watery fun as we conduct experiments and play games to learn about the properties and importance of water.

Fall Follies
October 12, 14 & 16, 1-3 p.m.
Seeds are falling all around us! Learn about different kinds of fall fruits, who eats them, and how they disperse. Enjoy the fall weather as we hike through the park in search of nuts, acorns, and other autumn treasures.

Migration Mania
November 16, 18 & 20, 1-3 p.m.
Learn about different animal groups and where they spend their winters. Play some cool games to experience “migration” yourself and more.

Eco-Art
December 7, 9 & 11, 1-3 p.m.
Join other kids for fun and games. Learn to reduce and reuse as we spend these afternoons creating nifty crafts from recycled materials.
