Take A Child Outside Week

Take a Child Outside Week

September 24-30, 2009

Wake County Parks, Recreation and Open Space is participating in Take A Child Outside Week (TACO) by offering outdoor programs at different Wake County Parks during the week of September 24-30, 2009. In honor of this important week, many program fees have been waived.

TACO is a program developed by the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences to get children outdoors to discover the natural world around them. The goal of TACO week is to get children to understand and appreciate the environment in which they live and to have fun exploring nature!
Pledge to take a child outside by visiting their website at: www.takeachildoutside.org.
