6/28/2007

Do you want to celebrate the Fourth of July but are unable to attend events in the middle of the week? Or are you just looking for another opportunity to celebrate America? Historic Oak View County Park gives you one more chance to celebrate Independence Day on Saturday, July 7, 2007, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The day will feature live music, re-enactors from various wars, Fourth-of-July crafts and old-time games. Those who enjoy baking as much as eating, should enter the pie-baking contest! As always, this event is free for all ages.

Historic Oak View County Park is located at 4028 Carya Drive, Raleigh, near the intersection of Poole Road and the I-440 Beltline (Exit 15) in the Wake County Office Park. For more information, visit www.wakegov.com/parks or call 919-250-1013.
