Caroling, Candlelight, Horse-Drawn Carriages Take You Back In Time

12/3/2007

Experience the holidays around the world at Historic Oak View County Park during the Annual Christmas Candlelight Tour on Saturday, December 8, 2007, from 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Visitors are invited to enjoy holiday decorations from around the world as they stroll through the park guided by the soft glow of luminaries, or take a horse-drawn carriage ride through Oak View’s mature pecan grove. After touring the grounds, families are invited to the 1850s farmhouse for caroling, hot apple cider, storytelling and a visit with Old St. Nick!

The Warming Tree will be on display, and all visitors are encouraged to trim the tree with donations of new clothing, toiletries or canned goods. All donations are given directly to a Wake County battered women’s shelter.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 250-1013 or visit www.wakegov.com/parks/oakview. Historic Oak View County Park is located at 4028 Carya Drive, Raleigh.
