Eva Perry Library Reopens

7/20/2007

Join other Wake County library patrons in celebrating the grand reopening of the Eva H. Perry Regional Library, Saturday, July 21, 2007, at 10 a.m. in Apex. Library staff will celebrate the renovated facility with cake, balloons, bookmobile tours, face painting, door prizes and books.

The library closed in April to replace more than 19,000 square feet of carpeting, which was installed when the building opened 11 years ago, and to replace fading wallpaper. A new circulation desk and self-checkout area have been added, to help improve efficiency and service to library patrons.

Patrons who checked out books from the Eva H. Perry Library in the three weeks before the closing, are encouraged to return the books on or before the August 2007 due date. For more information, call 387-2100.

Storytimes and other youth events at the library will start up again on July 30. In addition, several book discussions are planned during August. For more information, go to www.wakegov.com/libraries.

The Eva H. Perry Library is located at 2100 Shepherd's Vineyard Drive, Apex.
