Friday, October 5, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. – Moonlight Walk with Storytelling in Knightdale
Bring your family and enjoy a twilight stroll of storytelling through the Enchanted Forest on Friday, October 5th, beginning at 6:30 p.m., at the East Regional Library in Knightdale. Listen to renowned storytellers Angie Stephens, Judy Packer and Ron Jones and see many characters from fairy tales. Merry music from Jimmy Magoo will entertain families along with treats inside the library. Tours through the forest will start every 15 minutes from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Families should bring flashlights and wear warm comfortable clothing. Strollers are okay, but not pets. In inclement weather, storytelling will be inside the library.

Come take part in the discussion on family, while sharing ideas with other readers on Sunday, October 14, 2007, beginning at 2:00 p.m., at the Cameron Village Regional Library. The five-part "Let's Talk About It" book discussion series combines the pleasure of reading books with the experience of sharing ideas with scholars and fellow readers. After participants read a book, a visiting scholar talks about the book and author in the context of the theme "Family: The Way We Were, The Way We Are." Participants then have the opportunity to share their thoughts and viewpoints during a discussion lead by the scholar. The program is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required.
