Wake's Business Advisory Council to Hold Open House Dec. 6

The Wake Area Business Advisory Council (BAC) will hold its annual open house on Thursday, December 6, 2007, from noon to 2 p.m. at The Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, 800 S. Salisbury Street, Raleigh.

This open house is an opportunity for long-term members, new members and potential members to learn more about the BAC and to network. Business guests are welcome to attend. There is no fee.

The BAC is a Wake County Human Services initiative and was established in January 1997 to promote a partnership between local businesses, employers and employment and training programs in the Wake County area.

The BAC provides advantages to its business partners, including:

· access to a diverse pool of potential employees
· a forum for employers to discuss their workforce needs
· networking opportunities
· education and training on employment-related issues

The BAC meets the fourth Thursday of every month from 9 - 10:30 a.m. More information about the BAC is available online at www.wakegov.com/commissions/bac.
