Convenience Centers Announce Holiday Closing Schedule

Wake County’s 11 Solid Waste Convenience Centers will have limited hours during the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Centers will be closed Thursday, November 22, 2007, for Thanksgiving and Tuesday, December 25, 2007 for Christmas. All Convenience Centers will close at noon on Christmas Eve, Monday, December 24, 2007.

Convenience Centers are trash and recycling drop-off stations open to all Wake County residential customers. Wake County does not charge residents to use these facilities. All Convenience Centers are commingled recycling sites, which means aluminum and steel cans, glass bottles and jars, mixed paper, and plastic bottles can be deposited in a single container.
