Restaurants, Other Facilities Must Close Due to E.Coli in Cary Water System

All North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources-permitted facilities in Cary will be directed to close until further notice due to E.Coli contamination in the Cary public water supply system. This includes
- restaurants
- food stands
- school kitchens and lunchrooms
- nursing home kitchens
- meat markets
- lodging facilities
Wake County Department of Environmental Services staff will continue to monitor water samples in the Cary public water supply system and will reopen these facilities as soon as the water is safe for public consumption.
