‘Great Gardening Books’ with local author Pam Beck at Cameron Village Library Dec. 6

Do you love gardening or books? Are you looking for holiday gift ideas? If the answer is yes, then this library program is for you. Freelance garden writer, photographer, designer and lecturer Pam Beck will talk about one of her passions – gardening books -- at "Great Gardening Books," Wednesday, December 6, at Cameron Village Library, 1930 Clark Ave., Raleigh.

Beck has regularly published articles in Carolina Gardener Magazine and currently writes for Wakefield and Wake Living magazines. She teaches residential landscaping for Wake Technical Community College ’s Adult Continuing Education Program. She is also an area garden scout for Better Homes and Gardens Magazine, and currently serves on the board of advisors of the JC Raulston Arboretum. A member of the Garden Writers Association of America, she also wrote "Perennially Yours," a gardening column for Raleigh 's News & Observer.

If you have never heard Pam speak, you are in for a treat. She is a knowledgeable, gifted, and delightful speaker for people of any experience and background. Pam’s most recent endeavor is Best Garden Plants for North Carolina, 2006, with co-author Laura Peters. Don’t miss this great speaker.
