Birds of Prey on Display August 19 at Historic Oak View

8/17/2006

Unless you happen to be a field mouse, squirrel or other small, woodland creature, you will want to swoop into Historic Oak View County Park this weekend for an event that is anything but "for the birds."

"Birds of Prey" comes to Historic Oak View on Saturday, August 19. This event runs from 1-3 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Join Steve Stone, from the American Wildlife Refuge, to learn about birds of prey in our area and around the world. There will be live birds, along with touchable mounts and other displays. This year’s program promises to be fun and informative for the whole family!

For more information, contact Sara Drumheller, Historic Oak View County Park, at 250-1013 or oakview@co.wake.nc.us.

Historic Oak View County Park is located at 4028 Carya Drive, near the intersection of Poole Road and the I-440 Beltline (Exit 15) in the Wake County Office Park.
