The M25 Foundation and Lifepointe Christian Church, in partnership with Wake County Human Services will sponsor a drive-thru grocery aisle for needy families, Saturday, June 4, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Human Services parking lot, 220 Swinburne Street, Raleigh. Eligible families can drive through a huge grocery aisle of pallets of food and will be given approximately 30 pounds of canned or dried staple foods.
"We are providing 1,300 vouchers to targeted low-income families, primarily clients of Human Services," said Gene English, Community Services director for Wake County Human Services. "Participants must be approved and issued a voucher by Human Services to pick up food."
The M25 Foundation is a private Christian organization that teaches and empowers businesses and faith partners to serve those in need of food, clothing, housing and medical care. "Our mission is to provide a means to reach out to those in our community whose basic needs are not being met, in accordance with the scripture of Matthew 25," said Anthony Bosco, founder of the M25 Foundation.
The food is provided by the M25 Foundation and purchased through Feed the Children - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Volunteers from Lifepointe Christian Church will help with the grocery distribution.
