Animal Center Extends Pre-Holiday Hours

12/20/2005

The Wake County Animal Care, Control and Adoption Center, 820 Beacon Lake Drive in Raleigh, will extend daily business hours December 19-22 to better serve customers wishing to adopt homeless pets and purchase gift certificates or gift baskets for the holidays.

Since the Center will be closed for four days over Christmas weekend, it will be open for one additional hour for the remainder of the workweek, as follows:

  • Tuesday, Dec. 20 – 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Dec. 21 – 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Thursday, Dec. 22 – 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Friday, Dec. 23, and Monday, Dec. 26 – Closed

In conjunction with these extended service hours, the Adoption Center is taking deposits for pet adoptions on a first-come, first-served basis, so the animals can be spayed or neutered on December 21. This allows the new owner to take the pet home on the 22nd, before the shelter closes for the holidays. Call 212-PETS to learn more.
