June 15 Career Fair Scheduled at Wake Tech Community College

Individual jobseekers from the community and students at Wake Technical Community College will have the opportunity to meet with potential employers during Career Fair 2005, Wednesday, June 15, from 2 to 6 p.m. Scheduled for the Wake Tech Student Services Conference area, 9101 Fayetteville Road, Raleigh, the fair is sponsored by the Capital Area Workforce Development Board, Wake County government, N.C. Employment Security Commission and Wake Technical Community College.
Jobseekers will be able to interview with potential employers while learning more about companies and businesses from Wake, Johnston and Harnett counties. Career Fair 2005 will also involve clients and staff associated with Wake County Human Services' JobLink Career Centers, located at the Swinburne Building in Raleigh, the Southern Regional Center in Fuquay-Varina and the Eastern Regional Center in Zebulon.
"We encourage anyone who is looking for a new job or who is interested in learning about local job opportunities to participate in Career Fair 2005. Individuals should bring copies of their resumes with them to the fair," said Torris Ferguson, coordinator of the event and Workforce Investment Act resource coordinator at the Southern Regional Center for Wake County Human Services. "This is also an excellent opportunity to showcase the positive partnership and collaboration between Wake County, the Capital Area Workforce Development Board, the N.C. Employment Security Commission and Wake Tech."
