Blue Jay Point to Host Songbird Celebration April 30, 2005

Bring your family to a FREE, daylong celebration of our feathered friends as Blue Jay Point County Park hosts its 8th annual Songbird Celebration, Saturday, April 30, 2005, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Celebrate the return of our migratory songbirds while you enjoy bird-related activities throughout the park.
The yearly event, in recognition of International Migratory Bird Day, includes a variety of classes, hikes, games, crafts and activities, including bird-related geocaching – a high-tech scavenger hunt. The event will go on rain or shine and is perfect for adults, families and youth groups. Event volunteers are welcome!
The Songbird Celebration is free, but preregistration is required for some classes—a complete listing of classes is available at www.wakegov.com/county/parks/bluejay.
