Board Sets 2005 Schedule

The Wake County Board of Commissioners on Monday set its 2005 meeting schedule. The meetings will be held on the first and third Mondays of the month (unless changed for holidays or other reasons), beginning at 2 p.m., with a public comment period for citizens to address the Board from 3 to 3:30 p.m.
Citizens wishing to address the Board are asked to sign up to speak, though the floor will be opened to those who did not sign up if a request is made during the comment period. After the public comment period, the Board will continue with any unfinished agenda items.
The meetings for 2005 will be held on the following dates:
- Monday, January 3, and Tuesday, January 18 (changed from Monday, January 17, due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday)
- Friday and Saturday, February 4 and 5 – Board Planning Retreat
- Monday, February 7, and Monday, February 21
- Monday, March 21 (the first meeting of this month is cancelled to avoid conflict with a national annual meeting)
- Monday, April 4, and Monday, April 18
- Monday, May 2, and Monday, May 16
- Monday, June 6, and Monday, June 20
- Monday, July 11 (meeting date changed due to Independence Day and to avoid conflict with National Association of Counties' annual conference)
- Monday, August 1, and Monday, August 15
- Monday, September 19 (only meeting scheduled this month)
- Monday, October 3, and Monday, October 17
- Monday, November 7, and Monday, November 21
- Monday, December 5 (there is no second meeting scheduled this month)
