Voter Registration Outreach

In keeping with statewide efforts to increase awareness of voter registration, the Wake County Board of Elections is pleased to announce a joint effort with the Wake County Democratic Party and the Wake County Republican Party.

Throughout September the partners combined efforts to reach voters through a countywide outreach. Registration application forms, posters and other information were distributed during numerous events and voter drives including La Fiesta del Pueblo, North Carolina Theatre productions at Memorial Auditorium, N.C. State University and the fall fair at St. Raphael Catholic Church.

From the close of books for the primary election up through the end of September, Wake County has added 35,617 new voters and updated addresses for approximately 35,000 registered voters. If you are not currently registered to vote in Wake County, or are registered but moved within the County, the deadline to register and/or update your information is Friday, October 8, so don't delay!
