A Second Democratic Party Primary will be held in Wake County on August 17, 2004, for the Superintendent of Public Instruction. All polling places will be open from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m., and voters will vote in the precinct where they are registered.
Only the following voters are eligible to vote in the Second Primary:

Registered Democrats and Unaffiliated voters who selected the Democratic ballot in the July 20, 2004, Primary.

Unaffiliated voters who did not vote in the July 20, 2004, Primary.
Republicans, Libertarians and Unaffiliated voters who chose either the Republican or non-partisan ballot in the July 20, 2004, Primary are not eligible to vote in the Second Primary.
One-Stop No Excuse Absentee voting begins Friday, August 6, 2004, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. One-Stop voting will continue Monday thru Friday, August 9-13, from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday, August 14, from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., at our office, 337 S. Salisbury Street, Raleigh, ground floor.
Absentee by mail: The request must include 1) your full name; 2) address where registered and the address to which you wish the ballot mailed; 4) date of birth; and 5) signature of the voter. The request must be received in our office by 5 p.m. on August 10, 2004. Mail letter to: Wake County Board of Elections, PO Box 695, Raleigh, NC 27602-0695. Fax the request to 856-5864.
