Absentee Mail Deadline Near

If you wish to vote absentee by mail, you must submit your request for an absentee ballot by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13. The request letter should include the voter's name, date of birth, residence address, address to which the ballot should be mailed (if different than the residence address), daytime telephone number and the voter's signature.
The voter or the voter's near relative may send a written request letter to the Wake County Board of Elections office, PO BOX 695, Raleigh, NC 27602. Written requests must be received in the Wake County Board of Elections office no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 2004. Ballots will be mailed within one to two days after receipt of the request. To be counted, the voted ballot must be received in the Board of Elections office by 5 p.m. on the day before the election, which is July 19.
One-Stop Early Voting continues at the Board of Elections Office, 337 S. Salisbury St., Raleigh, NC, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. through 5 p.m.
The last day to vote early will be Saturday, July 17, 2004 – 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. For more information, click here.
