Animal Web Volunteers Needed
6/15/2004
The Wake County Animal Care, Control & Adoption Center, formerly the Wake County Animal Shelter, will host an orientation June 26 for its new volunteer program to help with advertising homeless companion animals on its website. The orientation is 10:30-11 a.m.
"Advertising animals on the website is an excellent way to increase the number of adoptions from our facility," said Mykol Hill, Animal Control volunteer coordinator. "Implementing this program is necessary because photographing, creating write-ups and posting animals on the website is a bit overwhelming for one individual to manage."
As part of an ongoing effort to increase the number of adoptions from its facility, the Wake County Animal Control, Care & Adoption Center is looking for committed individuals with patience, writing skills and some photographing experience to help improve the photo gallery section of its website.
