Voters May Vote Early for November Election at One-Stop, No-Excuse Absentee Voting Sites

8/25/2005

One-Stop, No-Excuse Absentee voting for the November 4 election gets under way at the Board of Elections Office on Thursday, October 16, and will continue at various times, days and locations around the County until the November 4 elections and runoff. (See following schedule for dates and locations.) Voters may vote ahead of the scheduled November 4, 2003, municipal elections, City of Raleigh – Districts B & D only and Town of Cary runoff elections.

North Carolina Law allows voters to vote no-excuse absentee. One-stop voting allows voters to cast a ballot in advance for the General Election on November 4. The votes are not tallied until after the polls close on Election Day.

The Board of Elections office will open One-Stop Voting beginning on Thursday, October 16, at 8:30 a.m. Four additional One-Stop sites –in Cary, Garner, Knightdale and Wendell – will open at the dates and times listed below.
