Holiday Wrap-Up Allows Citizens to Recycle Trees, Wrapping Paper and More at Five County Locations

Wake County residents will be able to recycle holiday wrapping paper, trees, catalogs, cards and more at five locations this year for two weeks after Christmas, as the County expands its annual "Holiday Wrap-Up" event!
Wake County's "Holiday Wrap-Up" will be held from December 26 - January 12, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the following Wake County Convenience Centers:
· 10505 Old Stage Road
· 3600 Yates Mill Pond Road
· 1101 U.S. 64 Business Highway
· 9004 Deponie Drive
· 6000 Old Smithfield Road
All sites will accept the following materials:
- Christmas trees (remove ornaments, lights and tinsel)
- Styrofoam packing peanuts, molding, etc.
- Corrugated cardboard
- SBS Board (shirt boxes, etc.)
- Glossy magazines/catalogs
- Chip board (paper roll tubes, cereal boxes, etc.)
- Wrapping paper (no foil)

Residents also are urged to contact their local municipalities for information regarding curbside Christmas tree collections or drop-off programs in their cities and towns.
