Win Prizes and Learn about Recycling with a Game of Bingo

Play for a reusable straw and a chance to win a compost bin

Looking for a game to play with the family over Thanksgiving? The Wake County Solid Waste Management Division is holding a county-wide game of Bingo and wants you to join in the fun!

To get started, just download a bingo card and cross off spaces as you complete various recycling-related activities. Examples include recycling unwanted books at a convenience center, composting your pumpkin, visiting your town’s website to find a list of items you can recycle in your curb-side cart and more.

Once a resident gets bingo, he or she will receive a free reusable metal straw and is entered in a drawing to win a compost bin.

Cards are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6. Only one card may be submitted per household. Complete details are available at bit.ly/recycling-bingo.

The average Wake County resident generates five pounds of trash per day. As a growing community, recycling is imperative to reducing the amount trash that goes to the landfill.
