Family Wildlife Series: Nature at Night

Discover what critters are active at night at Blue Jay Point County Park with a nighttime hike down to the lake. This is a family program for ages 5 and up. The program fee is $5 per family or $3 per person. For more information and to register, call 919-870-4330. Blue Jay Point County Park is located at 3200 Pleasant Union Church Road, Raleigh.

ATT History Hike

Go back in time to learn about how the American Tobacco Trail went from rural farmland to railroad to trail with this fun hike. Bring a water bottle and good walking shoes. This program is for all ages, and the fee is $5 per family or $3 per person. To register, call 919-387-4342 or email harris.lake@wakegov.com. Meet at the White Oak Parking Area, 1305 White Oak Church Road, Apex. American Tobacco Trail is located at 1309 New Hill-Olive Chapel Road, New Hill.

Join Harris Lake County Park staff for our adult nature book club. Each month we will discuss a book that deals with nature and our environment. This month we will look at the basis of our civilization with "Ishmael." The program is free and meets at the park office. To register, call 919-387-4342 or email harris.lake@wakegov.com.
