Share your opinion on Wake County’s growth

Wake County’s population will grow by 250,000 people over the next 10 years—how should we accommodate for that growth?

Residents are asked to weigh in on this important topic by completing a short survey.

The survey is part of PLANWake—the county’s process to develop a comprehensive plan that will include policies to help guide actions that address critical issues impacting residents’ daily lives. Nearly 1,500 people have already completed the survey, which will close in early December.

Residents’ involvement and opinions are critical to the PLANWake process. In addition to community members, PLANWake engages stakeholder groups, an advisory group, the Wake County Board of Commissioners and Planning Board, and a technical working group of municipal planning partners. Multiple forums and meetings will take place to identify priorities, test choices and, finally, develop a direction and plan.

Public hearings and plan adoption are expected to take place in winter of 2020.
