​Wake County Government Closed Sept. 14 due to Hurricane Florence

Based on the anticipated effects of Hurricane Florence, county offices will be closed on Friday, Sept. 14. Hurricane support and public safety operations will continue.

Wake County public libraries, parks, solid waste facilities, Human Services client services, and inspections and permits are among the county services that will not be in operation.

Wake County residents who have non-emergency questions or issues can contact Wake County at 919-856-7044.

Members of the media who need to contact the Communications Office staff member on duty in the Wake County Emergency Operations Center should call 919-856-7036 or email communications@wakegov.com.

Updates about Wake County closures will be shared with local news outlets and on this website and social media.
