Wake County Register of Deeds to assist

Durham County Register of Deeds

Wake County ROD will provide marriage license service

 during Durham County ROD closure.

Raleigh, NC – The Durham County Register of Deeds office will be closed Thursday, September 6, 2018 and Friday, September 7, 2018 to move their office to a new location.

A marriage license issued in Wake County is valid statewide and Durham-area residents are welcome to visit the Wake County Register of Deeds office to obtain a marriage license. After a couple obtains their marriage license, they can get married by a magistrate in the same building at the Wake County Justice Center.
