​Teen Poetry Contest, Literary Mayhem at Wake County Libraries

Teen Poetry Contest
Teens are invited to show off their literary skills by taking part in Wake County Public Libraries’ Teen Poetry Contest. Teens in grades 6–12 are invited to submit up to three original poems for their appropriate age group. Poems can be submitted online through April 15.

Winners will be announced in May in the following categories:

  • Grade 6
  • Grades 7–8
  • Grades 9–10
  • Grades 11–12

Winners will be honored at an awards reception on May 20.

Literary March Mayhem
March Madness has hit Wake County Libraries. Vote for your favorite female fictional characters in the fourth annual Literary March Mayhem Tournament! Cast your vote in five rounds of competition in our libraries or online from March 1 through April 9. Vote here.
