Residents in southwest Wake County now have access to 40,000 new books, daily children’s programs and more than a dozen computers a the new Middle Creek Community Library, which opened its doors on Saturday, March 4. The library is located at 111 Middle Creek Park Ave. in Apex.
“After years of planning and construction, we are excited to open Middle Creek Library,” said Wake County Public Libraries Director Michael Wasilick. “This new library will allow us to meet the growing demand for library service east of Holly Springs and Apex, north of Fuquay-Varina and south of Cary and surrounding areas.”
The one-story, 8,800 square-foot library features youth programming, 18 public computers and WiFi capability. The library was made possible by a $45 million bond referendum approved by voters in 2007 to build, expand, renovate or repair libraries.
Middle Creek Community Library is open to the public during the following hours:
- Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.;
- Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and
