Celebrate the Shortest Day at Historic Yates Mill on Dec. 21

Dec. 21, 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. – Wayside Display: The Shortest Day at Historic Yates Mill County Park
In the Northern Hemisphere, the December solstice marks the longest night and shortest day of the year. Mark this special day by checking out the wayside solstice display at Historic Yates Mill County Park, and explore how cultures all over the world celebrate the solstice. Stop by the Finley Center exhibit hall anytime during the program time. Historic Yates Mill County Park is located at 4620 Lake Wheeler Road in Raleigh.

Check out all of the programs and events happening at Wake County Parks in December. Follow each park on Facebook and @wakegovparks on Instagram and Twitter for more news and information.
