Free Clinic to Provide Health Services
Wake County is joining community partners and volunteers to host the Community Outreach 2013 Medical Clinic on Saturday, March 23, 2013, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Living Word Family Church, 10520 Star Road, Wake Forest. People of all ages can receive services.
About 160 volunteers, including doctors, dentists, vision technicians and other medical professionals, will provide medical exams, dental exams, eye exams, Hepatitis C counseling, and HIV/STD and TB testing. Organizers expect more than 400 people to attend.
"This is a unique opportunity for us to work with Wake County," said Living Word Family Church Community Medical Clinic Coordinator Lucia Wilberding. "This clinic grows every year, and we could not do it with the support from our community partners."
This is the third year that Wake County has participated. Last year, the clinic served 380 people, and many received multiple medical services.
For information about the clinic, call Living Word Family Church at 919-570-2007.
