Take a Child Outside, Tracks and Traps at Wake Parks This Week

Sept. 24–30 – Wake County Parks will celebrate "Take a Child Outside Week" with a series of free outdoor programs. TACO Week is a program developed by the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences to encourage children to go outdoors to discover the natural world around them. Visit our website for a complete list of programs.

Tuesday, Sept. 27, 6–7 p.m.
Family Feature: Tracks and Traps at Crowder District Park
Tracks can tell us so much about an animal's behavior. Learn to read the land to find out who has been there, where they were going and how fast! Go on a habitat hike and use bug traps to catch and release your favorite insects. This free program is open to all ages, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Preregistration is required. Crowder District Park is located at 4709 Ten Ten Road, Apex.
