Fairgrounds to Host Annual Booksale and Festival of Reading, Dec. 10-13

Attention, bookworms! Wake County Public Libraries' Booksale and Festival of Reading will take place this week at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh.

The annual event will feature more than 350,000 books for sale for all ages. It will begin on Thursday, Dec. 10, and run through Sunday, Dec. 13, in the Jim Graham Building.

New this year is a Sunset Sale, where shoppers seeking good deals can take advantage of buy-one, get-one free adult books from 3–9 p.m. on Friday. On Saturday, families can enjoy all kinds of fun activities ranging from live entertainment to crafts to make the day more festive and exciting for children.

"This event benefits the community by bringing adults and children together to celebrate reading," said Library Deputy Director Ann Burlingame. "Their purchases will help fund services, such as our public libraries, that benefit thousands of people across Wake County."
