More Opportunities to Discuss Transit Strategy!

The Wake County Transit Strategy partners are inviting residents to learn about four transit plan options and provide feedback on each of them.

The options were unveiled during a Choose Our Transit event on Monday, May 11, 2015. Regional events have been held in Garner, Holly Springs, Wake Forest and Wendell, and are being held in Raleigh and Cary this week.

Community events are being planned throughout the summer. During these events, people will have an opportunity to watch an overview video, review maps, talk with technical staff and complete a survey about the four transit plan options.

The latest events to be scheduled are listed below.

Monday, July 20, at 6 p.m.
Cameron Village Regional Library
1930 Clark Ave., Raleigh

Wednesday, July 22, at 6 p.m.
East Regional Library
946 Steeple Square Court, Knightdale

Monday, July 27, at noon
Express Library Fayetteville Street
336 Fayetteville St. (Wake County Office Building), Raleigh

After attending an event, or reviewing a brief video, people are asked to share what they like and do not like about each of the four options via a survey. The survey is available at WakeTransit.com. Paper copies can be filled out at each town hall and library in Wake County. Additional events are being scheduled throughout the summer.

More information about the Wake County Transit Strategy, the technologies and specific plans being discussed are available at www.waketransit.com. The Wake County Transit Strategy is a partnership that includes Wake County, Go Triangle, Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO), City of Raleigh, Town of Cary, Research Triangle Foundation of North Carolina, N.C. State University and Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
