The public is invited to the main local event for National EMS Week, called "Code: Celebrate!" It is held annually and recognizes emergency responders who participated in cardiac arrest saves during the previous year. Survivors are invited to meet their responders and to share their stories. William Fulton, a local survivor and teacher at the Governor Morehead School, and his family will give an in-depth story about his cardiac arrest experience.

"This event is a great way to celebrate survival while promoting those important CPR skills that every member of the community should have," said Chris Colangelo, Interim Director of Wake County EMS.

Entertainment includes:

  • The Wake County EMS Happy Band
  • The G Squad of Garner Senior Center
