Wake Opens Shelter at Sanderson High School

Wake County will open an emergency shelter at  5 p.m., TODAY, Thursday, February 26, 2015, at the following location for people affected by the winter weather:

Jesse O. Sanderson High School
5500 Dixon Drive in Raleigh

*Pet friendly shelter– Bring food, crate and other pet supplies

At this time, the Wake County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will remain at level two. This means that equipment and personnel are responding and the EOC is staffed on a continual basis. This staffing includes a call center that is available to handle non-emergency calls in English and Spanish. The call center phone number is 919-856-7044. People should call 9-1-1 in an emergency.
