Wake EOC Activates to Coordinate Response to Winter Weather

The Wake County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activated at noon today, Wednesday, February 25, 2015, to monitoring the ongoing winter weather. The EOC is prepared to coordinate emergency response efforts if needed.

At this time, the Wake County EOC will remain at level four, a stand-by operational state. This means that all equipment and personnel are prepared to respond, however the EOC will not be staffed on a continual basis.

“We encourage people to prepare for the next round of winter weather,” said Wake County Emergency Management Director Josh Creighton. “With slightly warmer temperatures, today is the time to prepare your family and home for this next round of precipitation.”
