Spread Valentine's Day Love to Veterans

Librarians throughout Wake County Public Libraries are organizing an opportunity for the community to show its appreciation to the men and women who have served in the Armed Forces. Through Monday, February 2, 2015, library visitors of all ages are encouraged to use the libraries' craft tables to create a Valentine for a Veteran.

All regional and community libraries will participate, and all craft materials will be provided.

The completed valentines will be delivered to the Durham VA Medical Center for distribution prior to Valentine's Day. Valentines for Veterans is a long-standing national event giving citizens the opportunity to show their gratitude for the service rendered by the country's veterans. In 2014, over 3,700 Valentines were distributed to the Durham VA Medical Center.

For more information, contact your local library or go to the Libraries Valentine's page.
