Donate Christmas Trees to Happy Trails Recycling Program

Wake County residents are asked to help enhance trails at County parks by recycling their undecorated Christmas trees with the Happy Trails Christmas Tree Recycling Program, from Friday, December 26, 2014, through Sunday, January 25, 2015. Trees collected at designated Wake County Convenience Centers and select Wake County parks will be chipped and used to mulch park trails.

The following Wake County Convenience Centers will accept trees daily from 7 a.m to 7 p.m:

The following County parks will accept trees daily from 8 a.m. until sunset:

Holiday trees must be undecorated (remove ornaments, tinsel, lights, etc.) to be accepted.

Recycle Holiday Waste

Most holiday waste can be recycled at any of the Wake County Convenience Centers, including wrapping paper, gift boxes, holiday cards, corrugated cardboard and more. Wake County Multi-Material Recycling Facilities accept items such as cell phones, baby strollers and car seats, electronics, rigid plastics, electronics and more.
