Expo to Help Job Seekers

The Capital Area Workforce Development Board is hosting the WRAL Capital Area Career Expo at the McKimmon Conference and Training Center, 1101 Gorman St., Raleigh, on Thursday, September 4, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Last year's event drew 67 employers and more than 1,500 job seekers.

"The 5-year job growth projection for the Research Triangle is 6.8 percent, which outpaces the state and nation by about 2 percent," said Pat Sturdivant, Executive Director of Capital Area Workforce Development Board. "Our goal is to connect job seekers with employers currently hiring in this region as well as surrounding areas."

Both entry-level and experienced professionals are encouraged to explore opportunities. A variety of industries will be participating in the Expo. This event is free to all job seekers. Employers still have an opportunity to attend. To register or to find the employer listing, visit www.capitalareawdb.com/careerexpo.
