Annual Festival to Celebrate Parks, Plants and Pollinators
Lake Crabtree County Park will host its second annual Pollinator Festival on Saturday, June 21, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in honor of the seventh annual National Pollinator Week, June 16 through June 22.

"Pollinators are crucial to the ecosystem and we are excited to celebrate all they do for us," said Environmental Educator Daniel Wheeler. "The festival is a great way to not only have fun with families and friends, but to educate the community on how they can help pollinators."

The Pollinator Festival will feature a variety of activities such as: bat truth-or-dare, pollinator crafts and garden tours. Local beekeeper Mr. Buzz will also be attending the festival to sell his honey and to speak more about his unique craft. In addition to Mr. Buzz, pollinator experts will be at the festival ready to answer any questions regarding bats, bees, butterflies and hummingbirds.

The event is free and registration is not required. Meet at the park's Beech Shelter. Lake Crabtree County Park is located at 1400 Aviation Parkway in Morrisville.
