Migration Walk, Songbird Celebration at Parks in April

Migration Walk

Join N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences Junior Curator Lucas Bobay on a migration walk through the woodlands at Harris Lake County Park. Look for birds migrating north to begin their breeding season. Bring a water bottle, good walking shoes, binoculars and dress for the weather. Binoculars and ID guides are available for loan. Meet at the Longleaf Shelter. This program is free. Songbird Celebration

Celebrate the arrival of migratory songbirds at Blue Jay Point County Park with a family festival that includes bird-themed hikes, games, activities and more. Earn a special Songbird Celebration embroidered patch by completing a series of fun activities and attending a class or hike. The event is free. For more information, call 919-870-4330.
