Wake Parks are dedicating the month of March to salamander-themed programs to celebrate Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation's (PARC) Year of the Salamander. Register for the following programs by calling the park of interest.

Family Wildlife Series: Eye of Newt

Discover a special kind of salamander, the Eastern Red-Spotted Newt, at Blue Jay Point County Park. Join us for a story, games and dip-netting for newts in our study pond. The fee is $5 per family or $3 per individual. For information, call 919-870-4330. Blue Jay Point County Park is located at 3200 Pleasant Union Church Road, Raleigh.
