Partnership with PNC Promotes Financial Education for Preschoolers
Wake County's partnership with PNC will help fund $mart Choice$, Great Fun, programs focusing on financial education for children. PNC provided a $125,000 grant to support and sponsor the programs at Wake County Public Libraries (WCPL) through August 2015.

$mart Choice$, Great Fun programs teach preschool children lessons in spending, sharing and saving, while encouraging parents to reinforce those lessons at home. Both children and caregivers learn about making good choices as well as understanding values.

"Through this grant from PNC, we can reach children in Wake County at an early age to help establish smart habits that will last a lifetime," said WCPL Deputy Director Ann Burlingame.

Wake Libraries will offer preschool and family storytimes at six regional libraries the third week of each month as a part of the program.

For more information on local programs, contact the library of interest or visit the $mart Choice$, Great Fun program page.
