Help Veterans Celebrate Valentine's Day
Show your appreciation to the men and women who have served in the Armed Forces by joining Wake Libraries' Valentines for Veterans. From Tuesday, January 21, 2014, through Tuesday, February 4, 2014, library visitors in all 20 locations can create a Valentine's Day card for a veteran that will be sent out the day before Valentine's Day.

"Valentines for Veterans is a national event that gives the community a chance to show their gratitude for the admirable services our County's veterans performed," said Wake's Children's Department Manager and Teen Coordinator, Nicole Lambert. "Last year we had a great response, with more than 3,500 valentines distributed to service men and women."

The completed Valentine's Day cards will be delivered to Wake County Veterans Services Office for distribution throughout the County before Valentine's Day. The craft is being offered with the aid of the Teen Leadership Corps in each library, and all craft materials are provided.

For more information, contact Nicole Lambert at 919-387-4311 or nicole.lambert@wakegov.com.
