Wake to Make the Holiday Season Greener
Wake County residents are invited to recycle their holiday trees with the Happy Trails Holiday Tree Recycling Program, from Thursday, December 26, 2013, through Sunday, January 19, 2014, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Trees collected through designated Wake County Convenience Centers and select county parks will be chipped and used to mulch park trails. The following locations will be accepting holiday trees: The following county parks will be accepting trees, from Thursday, December 26, 2013, through Sunday, January 19, 2014, from 8 a.m. until sunset: Holiday trees must be undecorated to be accepted. Other holiday waste can also be recycled at any of the Wake County Convenience Centers, including wrapping paper (no foil), holiday cards, corrugated cardboard, shirt and gift boxes, and more.
