Animal Center to Host Dog Adoption Luau

Dog lovers are invited to a special dog adoption event “Long-Timer Luau” on Saturday, October 19, 2013, 12 to 6 p.m., at the Wake County Animal Center, 820 Beacon Lake Drive, Raleigh. About 20 dogs will be available for adoption.

Long-timers, dogs that have remained at the shelter for more than a month, will be available for a $25 adoption fee. Dogs at the Animal Center that are not participating in the Luau are available for adoption at regular fees.

“Our volunteers have organized this event for our dogs that have been patiently waiting to find their perfect match,” said Wake Animal Services Director Jennifer Federico. “We hope to place them all in loving homes on Saturday.”
