Remember Rural Past at Wake's Heritage Day
Historic Oak View County Park invites the public to celebrate Wake's rich agricultural history at Heritage Day on Saturday, October 5, 2013, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The park is located at 4028 Carya Drive, Raleigh.

This fair-like event is a celebration featuring activities for all ages including:
  • Antique farm equipment and car displays
  • Heritage crafts
  • Live music
  • Horse-drawn carriage rides
  • Historical re-enactors and more

Handmade craft items will be on sale throughout the park, and a display of quilts will be auctioned off during a live auction at 2 p.m. Raffle tickets will be available for a chance to win a handmade quilt, benefitting the Tenant House Restoration Project.

This free event is in partnership with Wake Cooperative Extension's 4-H Youth Fair Day.
