Wake to Recognize Community Volunteers
Wake County is accepting nominations for the 2013 Wake County Volunteer Recognition Program to recognize an individual, group or business whose volunteer service should be commended. Wake nominees will then be nominated for the 2014 Governor's Award for Volunteer Service. Nomination guidelines and forms are available online at wakegov.com/volunteer.

Some of the organizations and areas where volunteers are an integral part in the organizations' success include:
Fire/Rescue Faith Partnerships Guardian Ad Litem
Advisory Boards Public Schools Board of Elections
Foster Care Meals on Wheels Cultural Facilities
Libraries Parks & Recreation Medical Facilities
Animal Shelter 4-H Wake Teen

Nominations must be received by Thursday, August 15, 2013, at 5 p.m., in the Office of the Wake County Board of Commissioners via U.S. Mail to P.O. Box 550, Raleigh, N.C., 27602; via email to portia.johnson@wakegov.com; or via online nomination form at wakegov.com/volunteer.
