All Wake County Register of Deeds Services are Now Provided Online,
by Mail or Virtually Using Web Video Technology

Only Register of Deeds staff will physically come into the office

Raleigh, NC – Charles P. Gilliam, Wake County Register of Deeds, announced today that for the health and safety of customers, our staff and the general public, all services will be provided online, by mail or virtually using web video technology.

“All services continue to be provided", Register of Deeds Charles Gilliam said. "The change in the way they are provided enables the public to conduct all business from the comfort and safety of their homes or places of work. There is no need for anyone to come inside our office. We prepared for situations like this. Last year we created a recovery plan to ensure continuity of operations under circumstances such as this. This month our staff worked quickly to implement the plan and other innovative solutions which now cover all of our services."

Effective today only staff will be physically present inside the Register of Deeds office.

This arrangement is planned to continue for the duration of the present virus situation.

See the Register of Deeds website for details on how to access services.
